Drugs Rate: The wholesale prices of around 800 essential medicines included in the list of essential medicines have increased. In such a situation, soon the retail price of these medicines may also increase soon. This includes medicines for all diseases like fever, skin infection, blood pressure, heart disease.

The government had already given approval to increase the prices of these notified drugs by more than 10 per cent. The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), which determines the prices of medicines in the country, had already agreed to increase the prices of these medicines. Under this, a 10.7 percent increase in the wholesale price of these medicines has been approved. Due to this the wholesale prices of around 800 medicines included in the list of essential medicines have increased. In such a situation, soon the retail price of these medicines may also increase soon.
